Welcome to the West Virginia Advanced Course for small public drinking water systems serving less than 3,300 people. This electronic, educational resource is designed to provide Class I and Class II WV public water system operators with relevant information on managing and maintaining their system(s) in accordance with Federal and State regulations. The contents of this course will serve as an enhancement to current and future classroom based training events. The state specific information presented in this course will also assist operators in meeting the certification requirements of the Office of Environmental Health Services (OEHS) Certification and Training Program within the WV Department of Health and Human Resources, Bureau for Public Health.

The lessons in this course provide information on:

  1. Capacity Development: CEH2010-060 for 3 CEHs
  2. Advanced Water Treatment Concepts: CEH2010-061 for 4 CEHs
  3. Sanitary Survey: CEH2010-062 for 3 CEHs

Continuing education hours (CEHs) will be awarded to WV public water system operators for successful completion of each lesson. If the entire course is completed successfully, then a maximum of 10 CEHs will be awarded. You may start and stop this course at any time.
