Wood County WIC Program

The Wood County WIC office is located on the second floor of the Mid-Ohio Valley Health Department at 211 6th Street in Parkersburg, WV.  The building is located just across the street from the new parking garage, which offers convenient parking .  The parking garage has a elevator in order to accommodate specials needs like a handicap, stroller or wheelchair. The parking price is $1.00 an hour.

The WIC office is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday in order to accommodate working families.

WIC is more than just a supplemental food program.  We also provide nutrition education, health screenings, breastfeeding support and medical referrals, as well as vouchers for healthy, nutritious foods for pregnant women, infants and children up to the age of 5.  For more information about the WIC program in Wood County, and to see if you qualify, please call 304-428-3688.
