HELPING TEENS MAKE HEALTHY DECISIONS
The Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Initiative (APPI) is responsible for community outreach and education for West Virginia’s Title X Family Planning Program. APPI provides statewide development, oversight, and coordination of adolescent pregnancy prevention activities.
The mission of this Initiative is to support teens as they explore and determine responsible sexual and reproductive options for their future.
In working with public schools for the past twenty-two years, APPI has developed presentations that help teachers meet standards set by the Department of Education using components of evidence-based curricula.
APPI offers classroom presentations, parent education, and professional development for educators to aid in sustaining a health program that includes medically accurate, age appropriate, comprehensive information.
