West Virginia Birth to Three is a statewide system of services and supports for children under age three who have a delay in their development, or may be at risk of having a delay. Services include physical and occupational therapy, vision and audiology services, nursing, and counseling, all of which are provided in a collaboration with each child's family. Twelve organizations provide services in all 55 counties. |

Child Advocacy Centers offer a new way of serving abused children through a comprehensive approach to services for victims and their families. The centers promote coordination of investigation and intervention services by bringing together professional and agencies as a multidisciplinary team to create a child-focused approach. A few West Virginia communities have established centers and more are planning them. |

Community Action Agencies (CAAs) are nonprofit organizations established under the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964 to fight America's War on Poverty. CAAs help people to help themselves in achieving self-sufficiency. They offer a range of services in the areas of education, employment, transportation, housing, nutrition, and emergency assistance. There are 16 CAAs in West Virginia that cover all 55 counties. |
