03/25/2021 - Each year as part of the reporting requirements of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), children and youth who are deaf blind must be counted. For infants and toddlers receiving Part C early intervention services, deaf blindness is defines as: "Concomitant hearing and vision impairments or delays, the combination of which causes such severe communication and other developmental and intervention needs that specialized early intervention services are needed."
Review and complete the attached form. Submission due by 4/7/2021.

Gallaudet University researcher, Shane Blau, is still looking for families of infants born deaf to participate in this data collection project. He will begin working on his analysis this fall.
