DHHR offering stress management training
The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources, Bureau for Behavioral Health and Health Facilities, will be sponsoring six days of critical incident stress management (CISM) training.
The conference will be conducted at Canaan Valley Resort in Davis from June 9 - 14, beginning at 8 a.m. daily and ending at 5 p.m.
The training is open to all interested parties free of charge. Continuing education credits will be awarded upon completion of each course in the disciplines of social work, counseling, psychology, nursing and law enforcement.
The courses are of special interest and benefit to anyone who works in the areas of crisis intervention, education, emergency services, mental health, traumatic stress and disaster mental health.
