Fireworks Safety Tips

If you must use fireworks in celebrating the 4th. of July or other occasion, please abide by the following safety rules.

• Read and follow label directions
  
  
• Have an adult present and never give fireworks to small children
  
  
• Ignite fireworks outdoors and on a flat surface
  
  
• Have water handy in case of a malfunction or fire
  
  
• Light only one firework at a time
  
  
• Never try to relight fireworks that have not fully functioned (duds)
  
  
• Never throw or point fireworks at other people
  
  
• Never carry fireworks in your pocket
  
  
• Never shoot-off fireworks in metal or glass containers
