| Women and the Law: A Legal Rights Handbook |
The West Virginia Women’s Commission is
partnering with the Women Lawyers Committee of the West Virginia State Bar
and West Virginia Legal Aid Services to provide a third edition of this
publication.
Sections in this handbook will include information on understanding the
court system, benefits and social welfare laws, criminal justice,
education, employment law, family law, health care, gay and lesbian
rights, money matters and property rights.
There is also a resource guide provided at the end of the handbook with names
and addresses of organizations that can assist women with many different issues.
An online
view of this handbook is now available through Legal Aid of West Virginia.
