| West Virginia’s African-American Women of Distinction |
The West Virginia Women’s Commission is
partnering with the LINKS Incorporated to produce the second volume of
African-American Women of Distinction. Statewide nominations were
solicited for this publication and a panel reviewed and selected women to
be featured in this book.
This publication compiles the history and recognizes the West Virginia African-American
women who participated in shaping the state or the nation and who are, or
were, role models as women of achievement for all of those who followed.
