Women's Health Policy Conference 2006

This year’s Women’s Health Policy Conference was held on January 18, 2006 at the Charleston Marriott. The West Virginia Women’s Commission was proud to be a part of this important event.

Speakers included Dr. Marilyn Gaston, a former Assistant Surgeon General of the United States; Dr. Sharonne Hayes, Director of the Women’s Heart Clinic at the Mayo Clinic; Jill Morrison, Senior Counsel at the National Women’s Law Center; and many more.

Participants learned about health issues that are important to women, including heart disease, arthritis, and birth control, among other things.
