PUBLIC HEALTH NURSE OF THE YEAR |

General Information The purpose of the West Virginia Public Health Nurse of the Year Award is to recognize a Public Health Nurse who has exhibited outstanding work in the field of Public Health Nursing, and/or made a valuable contribution to the West Virginia Public Health Association-Nursing Section. Eligibility Nominees for the West Virginia Public Health Association-Nursing Section Public Health Nurse of the Year Award should meet the following criteria: a. The nominee must be an active member in the Nursing Section of the West Virginia Public Health Association. b. Nominations may not be made by anyone serving on the Award Review Committee. c. Members serving on the Award Review Committee are ineligible for nomination. d. The work of the individual chosen shall have made an outstanding contribution to the health of the people, to the field of Public Health Nursing, and/or to the organization’s Nursing Section. e. The Award Review Committee will confer and/or meet at least 60 days prior to the Annual West Virginia Public Health Association meeting for the purpose of reviewing nominations and selecting the Public Health Nurse of the Year. All nominations must be submitted to the Committee Chairperson 90 days prior to the annual conference.
