Image: Hancock County Health Department Mission Statement: The mission of the Hancock County Health Department is to organize and manage its resources for the protection and enhancement of the personal, family, community, and environmental health of all residents. We endeavor to deliver these services in an efficient, courteous and non-discriminatory manner to all residents and those requesting our assistance. Our mission is accomplished by assessing the health needs of our county and then planning, organizing and implementing programs to meet these needs. We provide services, programs, and activities as mandated by the Public Health Code of West Virginia. In cooperation with local hospitals and social agencies, we strive to improve the psycho-social status of all residents. With financial and technical assistance provided by the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources, and financial assistance from the Hancock County Commission we are able to administer and provide these essential services.

The above mission statement has been provided as-is from the most current program plan report submitted by the aforementioned local health department; it may share but not necessarily represent in totality the views of the Division of Public Health Nursing and Administration.
