Mission Statement: The mission of the Monroe County Board of Health is to improve the personal health status of Monroe County residents. To accomplish this mission the Board of Health will monitor and collect health data to understand the health status of the population, use the data gathered through assessment, to plan and develop policies to protect the public from adverse health events, reduce the incidence of preventable disease and death and assure a health delivery system which has adequate resources and qualified professionals.
