West Virginia Registry of Interpreters (WVRI)

The state of West Virginia wants to make sure our Deaf and Hard of Hearing citizens are receiving the very best assistance possible. That's why West Virginia sign language interpreters will be required to register with the West Virginia Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (WVCDHH). The legislative rule establishing the registry (CSR 192 3) was passed by the legislature to create a statewide standard for sign language interpreters. This not only helps persons who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, but also provides helpful guidelines for interpreters.
