WVAS By-Laws Brief Summary: Members of the West Virginia Association of Sanitarians (WVAS) voted on September 22, 2011 to amend the WVAS Bylaws to reflect a change in the number of elected officers of the Association due to a lack of interest in securing qualified members to run for office. Currently the vice-president fulfills a four year commitment (vice-president, president- elect, president, and immediate past president). The WVAS also elects a three year member-at-large. The proposed change will reduce the four year commitment to a two year commitment for the Vice-president and from a three year commitment to a two year commitment for the member-at-large, eliminating the president-elect position, the immediate past president position, and the three year member-at-large position. Duties defined in the bylaws to these positions will be modified to reflect the proposed changes.
