Since WVSIIS is a PC-based system, you will need PC hardware with a modem and access to a phone line. If you choose WVSIIS-Web you will also need access to an Internet Service Provider.

We are working with the vendor of your system and providing them the specifications to create an export of immunization data to PCI-2000 or directly to WVSIIS to eliminate the need for duplicate data entry. (Note that your vendor may charge a fee for this capability).

This is a practical way to connect to WVSIIS, since it helps you get full value out of your present system and adds important connectivity to the state central immunization database.

2. If you do not have a patient management system, OR export file is not available for your patient management system, OR the cost is not cost-effective...

We will give you PCI-2000 software for your office, or WVSIIS - Web access through the Internet. This option will require additional data entry if you use a billing system, but may be more economical. It also give you the benefits of direct access to your data, for doses administered report, assessment, and other reporting capabilities.

3. You can complete a detailed manual form and FAX or mail your data to the WVSIIS office, and then access the data through a modem or Internet connection.

Although this appears inexpensive, it will be costly to your practice and very time consuming. This provides the least amount of access to your patient dataset. The Internet connection allows you to access immunization records on the patients in your clinic.
