This program assists the West Virginia Department of Health and
Human Resources and the CDC's Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease
Registry (ATSDR) with the various mandates that were imposed upon the
passage of the Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and
Liability Act (CERCLA) and the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act
(RCRA).
Some of the functions the team perform include:

- Health Consultations
- Exposure Investigations
- Community Involvement Activities
- Health Education
- Follow-up Investigations/Studies
in addition to other activities which are related to the exposure
of humans to hazardous substances in the environment.
