WV Diabetes

The primary mission of the West Virginia Diabetes Prevention and Control Program is to Increase the quality of life for persons with diabetes living in West Virginia.

What is gestational diabetes? Gestational diabetes is a type of diabetes that develops or is first recognized during pregnancy.

WVU Extension WVU Extension Service educators and volunteers build and help sustain collaborations and partnerships with people and organizations in West Virginia, to improve their lives and communities. The Right From The Start Program may be able to help you in the following ways::

Obtain Medicaid coverage for your pregnancy and your new baby.

Arrange to get care for yourself and your baby.

bullet

Access medical care if you are uninsured or have limited benefits and are not eligible for Medicaid but meet other necessary requirements.
