All babies are screened by the birthing facility shortly after birth to determine hearing status.

If you do not know whether or not your baby was screened after birth or do not know the results of the screening, you may call the OMCFH who will help you.

bullet

All babies who are not screened or fail the newborn hearing screen at the birthing facility must be rescreened prior to discharge. If the baby fails a rescreen or is not rescreened, the RFTS Program will contact you to follow up on the status of your baby’s hearing.
