Board of Licensed Dietitians
This Board is responsible for licensing dietitians in WV.
Board of Examiners for Licensed Practical Nurses
The West Virginia State Board of Examiners for Licensed Practical Nurses is a legally constituted agency of State government established by the West Virginia Legislature. The mission of the Board is to promote and protect the public health, safety and welfare through licensure of practical nurses.
Board of Occupational Therapy
This Board is responsible for administering the WV occupational therapy practice act, enacted to safeguard the public health, safety and welfare, and to assure the availability of high quality occupational therapy services to persons in need of such services.
Board of Pharmacy
It is the duty of the Board to protect the public health, safety, and welfare by the effective regulation of the practice of pharmacy; the licensure of pharmacists; the licensure and regulation of all sites or persons who distribute, manufacture, or sell drugs or devices used in the dispensing and administration of drugs or devices within the state of West Virginia.
Board of Physical Therapy
The WV Board of Physical Therapy is a State Regulatory Board that was created by the WVLegislature to regulate the practice of Physical therapy in order to protect the public from the unauthorized, unqualified and unregulated practice of Physical Therapy.
Board of Medicine
The West Virginia Board of Medicine is the sole authority for the issuance of licenses to practice medicine and surgery, to practice podiatry, and to practice as a physician assistant for a medical doctor (M.D.) in the State of West Virginia, and is the regulatory and disciplinary body for the practice of medicine and surgery and the practice of podiatry and for physician assistants for M.D.'s in this State.
Board of Examiners for Registered Professional Nurses
The West Virginia Board of Examiners for Registered Professional Nurses is a legally constituted agency of state government established by the West Virginia Legislature to promote and protect public health, safety and welfare through the regulation of the practice of registered professional nursing.
Board of Respiratory Care
The mission of the West Virginia Board of Respiratory Care is to provide oversight of the licensing of respiratory care practitioners in the State of West Virginia. The Board is responsible for providing guidelines for licensing requirements, renewal of licenses, continuing education requirements and investigation and/or prosecution of license violations.
Board of Social Work Examiners
The Board of Social Work Examiners was created “to protect the public by setting standards of qualification, education, training and experience for those who seek to engage in the practice of social work and to promote high standards of professional performance for those engaged in the profession of social work.
Board of Examiners of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology
The mission of the Board of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists is to safeguard the public health by assuring and maintaining the professional qualifications of speech-language pathologists and audiologists and speech-language pathology and audiology assistants in the state.
