C&T Exam Procedures

The Certification and Training Program (C&T) has begun new exam administration procedures for all exams, except 1D which are handled through the district offices. C&T no longer offers monthly exams at the District Offices or at the Central Office.  C&T exams are given twice a year in each district area. C&T staff is responsible for exam administration, which includes registration, location arrangements, travel and proctoring at each of the locations. The 2013 exam schedule for each district area is as follows:

January 9 Philippi
January 10 Beckley
April 10 Wheeling
April 11 Kearneysville
May 17 St. Albans
July 10 Philippi
July 11 Beckley
October 9 Wheeling
October 10 Kearneysville
November 15 St. Albans

C&T will continue to cover 2 districts each quarter (for a total of 10 exam administration dates per calendar year). Due to space concerncs brough on by a likely larger group of examinees, C&T has moved the exam sites away from most of the actual district offices. The locations for exams for each district are as follows:

Beckley

New River Community and Technical College
527 Odd Road
Ghent, WV

Kearneysville

Kearneysville District Office
1948 Wiltshire Road, Suite 6
Kearneysville, WV

Philippi

St. Albans

OEHS Central Office
350 Capitol Street, Room 313

C&T should receive a completed exam application (Form EW-102) from each individual wishing to register for an exam, 30 days prior to the exam date and location for registration.

C&T staff will not bring extra exams or accommodate any walk-ins. C&T expects individuals to plan accordingly to not only prepare for the exam, but to register properly. Please let C&T know if you have any questions or concerns on this process.
