Identification
Card System
Established in September 2008, the
Certification & Training Program has new certification cards for all
certified individuals. The new ID card system is a big improvement
and includes a photo identification field in the upper right. All
water and wastewater operators and backflow installer/testers are
encouraged to choose the nearest location and have a photo taken as
soon as possible. Although water well drillers and pump installers
are not required to have a photo taken for their certification
cards, they may choose to do so at their earliest convenience.
The location options to have your new photo taken are:
·
Beckley District Office
(304)256-6666 *Christina Lesko contact person
·
Charleston Central
Office (304)356-4335 *Mary Lowe
·

NOTE: Although your photo will be taken at the location of your choice, the ID card will be mailed from the C&T unit in Charleston. You will not leave the location your photo is taken
with your ID card.
Please keep in mind, we plan to use the same
photo for 5 years. In other words, you will not have to go have
another picture taken when you renew unless you choose to do so.
Also if you hold multiple licenses, we will use the same photo for
all. We will keep you updated on any changes that may occur to this
process. If you have any questions on the new ID card system,
please contact Mary Lowe (304)356-4335.
