The Source Water Assessment Program (SWAP) is currently in the
process of evaluating its successfulness. This is being done through
three separate processes, a Technical Advisory Committee, a Citizen's
Advisory Committee, and a series of Public Hearings.
The Technical and Citizen's Advisory Committees are composed of
individuals representing various aspects of the state's interests,
from the private sector as well as the public. The Public Hearings
will be open to any and all interested people and will be held in
various locations around the state.
The Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) has been
formed for the express purpose of determining the technical
feasibility and effectiveness of the Source Water Assessment Program.
This group will carefully evaluate the goals of the SWAP and determine
if they have been successfully completed or addressed. The will
further attempt to identify any areas that need to be improved upon to
make the program more successful in protecting the states surface
water supply. TAC meeting summaries are provided in the Source
Water Assessment and Protection Program document. The following

The Citizen's Advisory Committee was formed to
evaluate the desirability and appropriateness of the Source Water
Protection Program. The TAC proposal will be reviewed by the Citizens
Advisory Committee. Citizen's Advisory Committee meeting summaries are
provided in the Source Water
Assessment and Protection Program document. The following links
