Water
System Capacity Baseline Assessment
The 1996 SDWA Amendments required West Virginia to develop a
baseline assessment of all water systems by August 6, 2002. The
baseline
assessment was developed using information provided in a
self-assessment survey completed by the water systems and from
existing agency compliance and sanitary survey data. The baseline:
- identifies water systems having the greatest need for assistance
- establishes a benchmark to measure the effectiveness of
assistance programs
- must be repeated ever three years
Baseline
Assessment Survey Form
The repeat assessment helps us evaluate our
programs effectiveness helping water systems develop adequate
technical, managerial and financial capability. The first repeat
assessment is available below.
