Activity Limitations: Activity limitation due to a physical, mental, or an emotional health problem is a broad measure of health and functioning for adolescents. Limitations in activity are due to one or more chronic health conditions that include, but are not limited to, learning disabilities; hearing; visual, and speech problems; mental retardation or other developmental problems (such as cerebral palsy); mental and emotional problems; musculoskeletal problems; the long-term effects of injury; asthma; and diabetes. Adolescents with one or more of these conditions often need special education services, and many receive special health services through special education programs.
Binge Drinking: Five or more drinks of alcohol within a couple of hours, on one or more of the past 30 days
Cigarette Smoking-Current Use: Smoked cigarettes on one or more days of the past 30 days.
Cigarette Smoking-Ever Used: Ever tried cigarette smoking, even one or two puffs.
Current Drinking: At least one drink of alcohol on one or more of the past 30 days.
Injurious Suicide Attempts: Suicide attempts, during the past 12 months, that resulted in an injury, poisoning or overdose that had to be treated by a doctor or nurse.
Marijuana Use-Current Use: Used marijuana on one or more of the past 30 days.
Marijuana Use-Ever Used: Used marijuana one or more times during their life.
Moderate Activity: Walked or bicycled for at thirty minutes on five or more of the seven days preceding the survey.
Vigorous Activity: Activities that made students sweat and breathe hard for 20 or more minutes on 3 or more of the 7 days preceding the survey.
Weapon: A knife, gun or club
