Public Information
During an event, information about the threat and protection
recommendations will be communicated to the public and media. This will include
information about the location of the emergency or crisis event, hotline
numbers, helpful Web site addresses, etc. Other information available will be
threat agents and their transmission, decontamination advice, and other
necessary medical advice
.
In the event the Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) is mobilized, effective communications will be necessary to inform the public about where to get protective medicines and how to take them.
