Specialist For immediate release New WIC income guidelines released New income guidelines have been released for the WIC Program. If a family’s income does not exceed the specified amounts for the size of your family, members of the family could potentially qualify for WIC services. For a family of one, the monthly gross income is $1,385 and for two people the monthly gross income is $1,869. A family of three can make up to a monthly gross income of $2,353 and a family of four can make up to $2,837 and still qualify for nutrition services. For each additional family member, $475 can be added to the gross income. Pregnant women can generally count double in the computations. WIC is a special supplemental nutrition program provided at no cost to eligible mothers, babies and children under five. Its goal is to help improve health by providing nutritious foods to supplement diets, offering education on healthy eating, nutrition and breastfeeding, and making referrals to other services.
