The Mingo County staff of the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources, Bureau for Child Support Enforcement, has been selected as the winner of the first BCSE Employee Success Team (BEST) for its superior performance in the area of public service.

The award is presented to the staff at the local level that best displays the bureau’s initiative for a consistently high level of performance in three areas of established criteria that include: customer service, collaboration, and productivity.

The Mingo County staff has been instrumental in collecting $416,000 in support collections by using the new enforcement remedy of license suspensions for noncompliance. The staff was also helpful in garnering another $205,000 in child support payments for a small, rural county by using another new enforcement tool known as the Financial Institution Data Match (FIDM).

Mingo staff members include: Leslie Bowen, Henrietta Webb, Judy Thompson, David Lee Cantrell, Emma Muncy, Linda Mullins, Elizabeth Linkenhoker, Sharon Johnson, Gina Banks, Misty Stanley, Tami Mosley and, Region 5 Manager Karen McComas.
