- Attention providers!
- Ever wonder if accreditation is right for you? Want to know how you can benefit from accreditation?
- Well, we have the answers you are looking for!
- NAFCC
Accreditation
- The National Association
for Family Child Care Foundation, NAFCC, sponsors a program of family child
care accreditation, which is available to you, a family child care
provider.
-
- For you,
accreditation means continuous improvement in your field-child care. It
also opens up opportunities for grants and reimbursements, and professional
development that are only available to accredited providers. Becoming NAFCC
Accredited benefits not only you, the provider, but also
- children, parents,
employers, and communities.
-
- How does it work? The
NAFCC accreditation process includes a few initial qualifications that a
provider must meet in order to be considered for the program. Once you are
found to be qualified , you will begin the process of accreditation, which
may take as long as 2 years, or as little as 9 months to complete,
depending on your circumstances.

There is a minimal fee for this program,
but it is well worth it when you consider the respect and recognition that
accreditation will bring you, as well as the many ways you will benefit the
lives of the children you care for.
