Where are you exposed to
secondhand smoke?
In your local restaurants? At work? At home? This website is
dedicated to helping you understand the hazards of secondhand smoke and to provide
you with the resources to do something about it. You can make a difference in your
home, your work site, and your community.

The Smoke-Free Initiative of West Virginia and the West Virginia
Division of Tobacco Prevention work to educate everyone about the dangers of secondhand smoke.
We also help to protect non-smokers by advocating policies and regulations requiring smoke-free
environments in all work sites and public places. Click
here to visit the West Virginia Division of Tobacco Prevention's Clean Indoor Air Program section.
Exposure to secondhand tobacco smoke
is a common and significant hazard in West Virginia. Breathing secondhand smoke
has been shown to cause or contribute to many serious health conditions.
Appropriate smoke-free policies can entirely eliminate the hazards associated
with secondhand smoke.
