Lewis County FRN is providing the following support, through the FRN…….
- County wide feeding effort in coordination with Lewis County Schools - see attached flyer. The FRN worked with Office of Child Nutrition to facilitate, is organizing all of the volunteers to deliver the meals, and is taking calls for the Food Request Call-In.
- Emergency Snack Pack distribution to multiple locations across the county
- Offering the same services we normally do, but with modified procedures for provision: monthly food orders, fresh produce, emergency food orders, snack packs, baby pantry, diapers & adult briefs, etc.
- Resource referrals for community resources
- Coordination with community partners

FRN & FOOD PANTRY SERVICES UPDATE
Beginning Wednesday, March 18, 2020
Due to the evolving and quickly developing precautions across the nation for Coronavirus/COVID-19, and to ensure the health and safety of our employees, volunteers, and the community members that we serve, the Lewis County FRN & Food Pantry will be taking the following actions:
** HOURS: The FRN and Food Pantry will be limiting hours of operation to be open on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 9am - 1pm. The door will be locked and clients will be served through the first window. Clients are asked to wait in the car until their turn. Do not form a line/group outside. Do not block the CVS drive-thru.
** SERVICES: Services that will be available include: resource referral, full monthly food orders, fresh produce, ready to eat foods, emergency food orders, diapers & adult briefs, baby pantry, birthday bags. Hot soup to go will not be available during this time.

- Very little time to prepare since school outage was announced on a Friday for the following week
- No funds for increased need of basic necessities

Preston County:

Preston County Starting Points is still operating their Food Pantry and Baby Pantry, just call and they will have a bag ready for families to pick up at the door.
Starting Points are still operating their Homelessness Program, they are giving out food ready to eat. They are serving 3 to 4 people a week.
Preston County FRN is giving families the Resource Guides and updating Facebook page of any new changes that is happening within the agency.

Randolph County:

Currently the FRN office are doing the following:
We are sharing all the information we have via social media and word of mouth when someone calls for assistance. Also giving families the Resource Guide for any other assistance that they may need.
We are also still handing out hygiene supplies to families as well as baby formula and wipes while supplies last.

Taylor County:

Taylor County FRN is still providing Food and Baby Pantry and Hygiene products for families. Just call and your items will be ready to be picked up at the door. Taylor County Resource Guide is coming in handy for families to use if any family needs more assistance.
