Family Leadership First
Family Leadership First has received a generous Flex E grant from the WV Development office for scholarships to families from distressed counties to attend our 17th annual Families Conference at Canaan Valley April 8-10, 2011. The distressed counties are Braxton, Calhoun, Clay, Lincoln, McDowell, Mingo, Roane, Summers, Webster, Wirt and Wyoming. We have extended the deadlines for these counties until Friday, March 4, 2011.
The Family Leadership Conference is a free training conference to build a network of informed family members and the first step in creating WV Family Links in counties and communities. The theme for this year’s conference is "Growing Leaders for Today and Tomorrow.”
The Family Leadership First conference committee selects participants and will be sending invitations to the selected applicants by the middle of March, 2011.
