WV Birth to Three is pleased to announce “An Overview of Transition Procedures from Part C to Part B,” as the third in a series of topical teleconference training calls. This series will be facilitated jointly by the WV Birth to Three State office and each of the eight Regional Administrative Unit Coordinators for WV Birth to Three.   

In the fall of 2006, the WV Early Childhood Transition Steering Committee approved revisions to the current transition procedures from Part C, early intervention, to Part B, preschool special education. This training will provide an overview to the revisions, an overview of the Transition Summary Update form and the parent letter of request for evaluation.   Through participation on the call, practitioners should increase their knowledge of:   

 

Teleconference calls will be scheduled by RAU region.  There is no pre-registration for the conference call.  The conference call will last approximately 90 minutes and 3 contact hours will be issued for those individuals who complete the call.  Roll call will be taken at the beginning and end of the call in order to verify participation.  Participants who call in after roll call has been taken will be able to listen in on the call but will not receive credit for contact hours.  Participant materials will be available on the WV Birth to Three website one week prior to the first conference call in this series.
