Data Integration & Security Division (DISD)

Faith L. Stuart leads this division and oversees and directs the state-wide Crisis Intervention services. Crisis Intervention services are activated by the State Emergency Operations Center, when manmade or natural disasters occur and which require critical incident stress management intervention. This division is also responsible for State-wide behavioral health system data integrity.

Crisis Intervention services are provided after the immediate phase of a disaster and may remain activated for months, providing education services and referral information to affected individuals and communities. Also, Crisis Intervention services are provided, by volunteer members of the West Virginia Community Crisis Response Team, following a critical incident.

DISD also coordinates the collection and integration of behavioral health and disaster data elements for the Bureau for Behavioral Health & Health Facilities. The collection of data is facilitated by having the initial processing outsourced to APS Healthcare prior to submission to DISD.

DISD developed and manages the following programs; West Virginia Community Crisis Response Team (WVCCRT), Project Recovery (PR) and Trained Community Responder (TCR).
