This organizational unit is responsible for improving
the allocation, configuration, and processing of
Bureau human resource related activities in order
to best accomplish the Bureau's Mission. These
activities include monitoring, reporting and sharing
of personal services information for utilization
by the Bureau's Management Team. Processing and
coordinating personnel actions, dissemination of
changes in personnel related policy, assisting in
personnel grievance monitoring, oversight, and
resolution, as well as development of needed
policies, procedures, and regulations are examples
of these activities.
In addition, this Office recommends actions to facilitate recruitment and retention
of needed health care employees, identifying and providing
educational needs and resources related to Bureau objectives,
as well as coordinating Bureau legislative initiatives and
responses to legislative activity affecting behavioral health
care in West Virginia. Strategic Planning related to
behavioral health human resources is also a component of
this Office as well as assisting in public information
preparation and responding to requests for information.
