| In 1999 the Bureau for Behavioral Health
and Health Facilities (BHHF) recognized that in a critical incident or
disaster, or in the aftermath of violence in a school or other setting, events
occur that necessitate the coordination and delivery of crisis intervention
services. |

| Recognizing the potentially powerful impact of these
events, on emergency response personnel and communities and families, Data
Integration & Security Division (DISD) developed the West Virginia
Community Crisis Response Team (WVCCRT). The WVCCRT builds partnerships among
behavioral health,emergency medical services, law enforcement, fire,
school,clergy, military, public health, nurses and emergency management
professionals. |
