Proposed Child Care & Development Fund State Plan - 2014 to 2015


This Plan describes the CCDF program to be administered by the State/Territory for the period 10/1/2013 – 9/30/2015. As provided for in the applicable statutes and regulations, the Lead Agency has the flexibility to modify this program at any time, including amending the options selected or described.

For purposes of simplicity and clarity, the specific provisions printed herein of applicable laws and regulations are sometimes paraphrases of, or excerpts and incomplete quotations from, the full text. Division of Early Child Care and Education Plans a Public Hearing

The Department of Health and Human Resources, Bureau for Children and Families, Division of Early Care and Education is conducting a public hearing on the proposed Child Care and Development Fund State Plan for federal fiscal years 2014 and 2015.  A press release was issued on April 30th, 2013 to announce that a public hearing would be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Thursday, May 23, 2013, in room 204 of the Marshall University Graduate College, located at 102 Angus E. Peyton Drive, South Charleston, West Virginia 25309.

The United States Department of Health and Human Services requires the plan as a condition of funding.  Public insight gathered from the meeting will help guide expenditures for the approximately $31 million received.

Written comments may be submitted online or by mail to West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources, Attn: Division of Early Care and Education, 350 Capitol Street, Room B18, Charleston, WV 25301.  All comments must be received no later than the close of business on May 23, 2013.
