Welcome to Client Services
The Office of Client Services represents the Secretary of the DHHR and the Commissioner of the Bureau for Children and Families in providing information regarding the programs and services administered by the Bureau for Children and Families, as well as Medicaid coverage issues, in addition to resolving problems and complaints regarding these programs. If it is necessary to refer individuals to other agencies, we provide information about appropriate community resources, including housing and available medical clinics.
We provide information to clients who are experiencing difficulty using their Medical ID cards for a variety of reasons, including prescription limitations, lock-ins to specific pharmacies, unpaid or denied claims of medical providers, services requiring prior authorization, available medical providers, and other issues. We also provide information to Medicaid recipients or other interested parties who want to know what Medicaid does and does not cover.
We attempt to resolve situations involving alleged abuse or neglect when individuals feel that previous reports have been ignored or inappropriately investigated by Child Protective Services staff in our County Offices.
Among the many programs for which we provide information and referral are:
- WV WORKS (monthly financial assistance)
- Food stamps, including issues involving Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT)
