Information Technology Operations, Policy and
Security,
(ITOPS)
unit of Management Information Services consists of three units:
Security, Operations and IT Policy.
The Information Security unit plays a
major role in the system and data security of the Department of Health and Human
Resources. This unit monitors and maintains compliance with the DHHR
Information Security Plan
which includes the
administration of mainframe, application and network security. It
is also responsible for oversight of Disaster Recovery Planning, and
Security Awareness training for DHHR.
The
Operations unit
assists Bureaus with hardware/software procurement,
maintenance and service contracts, and MIS accounts payable.
The IT
Policy unit is responsible for developing an
Information Security Handbook, developing and
maintaining all IT Policies, providing training for MIS employees, as
well as promoting and monitoring compliance with these policies throughout the DHHR.
