Do You Want "Hurdle" At Your Next Event? Hurdle is the official mascot for the West Virginia Immunization Program. Hurdle is available to your group or organization. All you need is two people and a desire to make your event memorable. Both children and parents love Hurdle. Call the Immunization Program for details and availability. Personal message from Hurdle: My name is Hurdle, the Turtle. I am five years old, hatched in West Virginia. I have lots of brothers and sisters. I like to run, jump, spend time with my friends and go to the playground. Potato chips and pizza are yummy, but vegetables are my favorite, and they are good for you too! My mommy and daddy are very careful to remember for us to get all of our shots. They know that vaccines protect us from diseases that make children really sick, like chickenpox, hepatitis B and measles. When it was time for me to get shots, I was scared. The nurse and mommy told me that it hurts a little, like a pinch. Getting a shot wasn't so bad! Mommy said that she was proud of me. I was a brave turtle, and I'm protected from terrible diseases! I want everyone in West Virginia to know that immunizations are important, and they only hurt a little. ------------------------------------ FOR MORE INFORMATION ON BOOKING HURDLE: CALL (304) 558-6438
